I watch this movies with my families, this movie is without a doubt one of the greatest movies of our time. It destroys any cliches you would expect and produces a gritty truly exciting and engrossing film. Although some people may be inclined to think that Ledger will be given credit regardless due to his untimely death (death on January 22, 2008) before the release of the movie, he clearly and unquestionably created one of the greatest villians. He is the best Joker by far because the fear that I felt while watching the movie was very real.

The story begin with the Caped Crusader returns, protecting Gotham City from the mad criminal mastermind, The Joker.

With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.

The emergence of Batman into Gotham has forced all of Gotham’s scum to meet during the day and stay off the streets at night so as to not fall victim to Batman’s scourge of the city’s evil. This has led to the emergence of a new villain to take the streets: one who calls himself the Joker. The Joker tries to strike a deal with the mafia; saying that the only way the mafia can have their former power is Batman’s death. He makes a bold promise that he can kill Batman. Batman has never had to deal with anything like this villain before, but he does have help in the form of the new DA of Gotham, Harvey Dent, who has an extreme commitment to solving the crime problem in Gotham.”White Knight” of Gotham is the new District Attorney who is extremely committed to wiping out the crime in Gotham. The people love him, and he is seen as the hope and future of Gotham. He is the tragic character in the movie, and he plays his role flawlessly, it’s amazing performance that is overlooked by many people.
